What are the benefits of installing an exhaust fan properly?

The process of installing a kitchen hood is not as simple as hanging it on the wall or installing it in a kitchen cabinet. If you do not follow the correct procedure and technical standards, the machine may operate inefficiently, make loud noises or have problems with the electrical and ventilation systems.
Therefore, a standard installation process will ensure smooth and stable machine operation, minimize unnecessary risks, prolong the life of the equipment, and save a significant amount of maintenance and repair costs.
Things to prepare before installing a kitchen hood

Before installing a kitchen hood, you need to carefully prepare the following:
Select installation location
For the construction process to go quickly and smoothly, you need to choose a suitable installation location. The hood is usually installed above the stove, about 65 to 75cm from the stove top. For wall-mounted hoods, the machine must be installed vertically and firmly to ensure safety.
Measure and mark the location
Once you have chosen a suitable location, you need to measure and mark exactly where the machine will be installed. This will make the installation process easier and avoid wasting time adjusting later.
Prepare necessary tools
You need to prepare the necessary tools such as drill, screwdriver, marker, tape, hammer, screws... If using the type of hood with exhaust pipe, you need to prepare additional air duct, pipe clamp and related accessories.
Check machine parts and accessories
In the process of installing a kitchen hood, checking whether the product's parts and accessories are complete or not, as well as carefully reading the manufacturer's instructions, will help you operate faster and shorten the time to install the device.
Power off
Disconnecting the power before installation is something you cannot ignore to ensure the safety of the technician during the installation process as well as protect the electrical network system in the house.

- Step 2: Lift the device up to screw it into the 4 marked positions;
- Step 3: Connect the exhaust pipe, use tape and pipe clamp to fix;
- Step 4: Power up the machine and run a test;
- Step 5: Install the activated carbon filter into the machine before handing over.
Install kitchen island hood
To install a kitchen island deodorizer, follow the procedure:
- Step 1: Determine the location of the machine to drill holes and attach screws;
- Step 2: Attach the hook at the marked location and place the bracket inside the range hood;
- Step 3: Attach the external bracket to the carriage, then attach the extension carriage and secure with screws;
- Step 4: Proceed to fix the exhaust pipe;
- Step 5: Adjust the hood body and carriage and secure tightly with screws;
- Step 6: Wire according to instructions, test and power the machine for trial operation.
Install under-counter range hood
The process of installing an under-counter range hood includes:
- Step 1: Determine the location and drill and cut on the kitchen counter according to the manufacturer's instructions;
- Step 2: Place the hood in the drilled position and secure with screws;
- Step 3: Proceed to wire according to the instructions;
- Step 4: Power on and test run.
Install wall mounted range hood
To install a wall-mounted deodorizer, you need to follow these steps:
- Step 1: Determine and mark the location of the machine, at least 70cm from the stove top;
- Step 2: Mark the distance between the 2 holes to hang the machine on the wall;
- Step 3: Drill the wall and install the expansion with screws. Leave about 0.5cm of screws from the wall to make it easier to hang the machine;
- Step 4: Hang the machine on the wall in the 2 pre-drilled positions;
- Step 5: Install the vent pipe, making sure the pipe is not twisted or kinked;
- Step 6: Power up the device and turn it on to check. Pay special attention to the lighting system (if any) because the wiring may be wrong, causing the light to not turn on;
- Step 7: Install activated carbon and grease filter before testing and handing over to customer.
Notes when installing kitchen hood

To keep the machine working efficiently and durably, you need to note the following:
- Ensure a safe distance between the machine and the stove: Avoid placing the machine too close to the stove, which will reduce the machine's lifespan due to the effects of grease, smoke, and high temperatures. On the contrary, if the machine is installed too far away, the ability to absorb odors will be significantly reduced.
- Check the ventilation system regularly: For range hoods using exhaust pipes, you should check and clean the ventilation system periodically to ensure that the system is not clogged and operates effectively.
- Choose the right type of hood: If your kitchen space is small, you should choose a built-in hood or a classic hood with a compact size. Meanwhile, if your kitchen space is larger, you can choose a wall-mounted hood or an island hood.
